Filtering leads and prospects in Mailerfind
In this article, we explain step by step, and without unnecessary technical jargon, how the new lead/prospect filtering feature in Mailerfind works.
The goal is very simple: keep only the contacts you are truly interested in and discard the rest.
What is Mailerfind’s filtering system?
The filtering system allows you to organize, clean, and refine the leads you have already obtained from your Instagram analyses.
Thanks to these filters, you can for example:
- Keep only profiles that have an email address
- Search for accounts that mention specific words in their bio
- Filter by number of followers
- Detect business accounts
- Prepare lists ready to export, run email campaigns, or create audiences in Meta Ads
All of this without writing any code and in just a few clicks.

1. Select sources (analyses)
The first thing you need to do is select where the data comes from.
What are sources?
Sources are the Instagram, Twitter, or other platform analyses that you have already run in Mailerfind.
You can:
- Select a single analysis
- Or select multiple analyses at the same time
What happens if I select multiple analyses?
Very simple:
- Mailerfind merges all leads from the selected analyses
- If a person appears in more than one analysis, they are not duplicated
- The final result is always a clean, unique list of contacts
👉 In other words: you can combine data without worrying about duplicates.
2. Apply filters
Once the sources are selected, the important part begins: filtering.
Filters allow you to decide which type of profile you want to include and which ones you don’t.
You can combine as many filters as you like.
Text filters
These filters search for specific words or text within the profile.
Biography
You can filter profiles whose bio contains certain words or phrases.
Examples:
coachinfluencersalesteacherI teach
Ideal for finding profiles with clear intent or a specific niche.
Username
Allows you to filter by words within the username.
Example:
- usernames containing
coach - usernames containing
academy
City
If the profile mentions a specific city, you can use it as a filter.
Example:
- Barcelona
- Madrid
- Valencia
Perfect for local businesses or geo-targeted campaigns.
Numeric filters
Followers
Filter profiles based on the number of followers.
Examples:
- More than 1,000 followers
- Between 5,000 and 50,000 followers
Following
Filter by the number of accounts a profile follows.
This can help you identify:
- More active accounts
- Less saturated profiles
Account type filters
Is it a business account?
Allows you to filter only:
- Business accounts
- Or exclude them and keep only personal accounts
Email type
You can filter by the detected email type:
- B2B → corporate emails (company, custom domain)
- B2C → personal emails (Gmail, Outlook, etc.)
Filters by available data
These filters allow you to keep only profiles that contain certain information.
You can filter by:
- Has phone number
- Has email
- Has website
Very useful to ensure your list is actionable.
3. What can you do with a filtered list?
Once you have the list exactly the way you want it, you can use it in several ways.
1. Export the list

You can export your leads in different formats:
- CSV
- Excel
- Direct integrations (for example, Smartlead)
Additionally, you can use this list to upload it to Meta Ads and create custom audiences.
2. Send an email campaign

You can also use this filtered list to:
- Create an email campaign
- Send a message to all these contacts
- Personalize the content according to your strategy
This allows you to reach only relevant people, increasing open and response rates.
Conclusion
Mailerfind’s filtering system is designed for one thing: saving you time and improving results.
Fewer irrelevant leads.
More precision.
More conversions.
If you know what type of customer you want, filters help you find them in minutes.
