Massive edition of senders

What is bulk editing for?

Bulk editing lets you select several email accounts and apply the same changes to all of them at once, for example sending limits, project, tags, connection details, signature, warm-up, or inbox.

It's especially useful if you manage dozens of accounts (for example, purchased on Mailsenders) and want to configure them all the same way without going into each one individually.

How to apply changes to several accounts

  1. In Email accounts, check the boxes of the accounts you want to edit, or the top checkbox to select all the accounts on the page.
  2. In the bar that appears, click Edit. A 2-step wizard will open.
  3. In step 1, fill in only the fields you want to change. 📌 Golden rule, an empty field or one marked "No changes" won't be touched. The available sections are:
  • Sending, messages per day and seconds between emails.
  • Organization, move the accounts to a project, and add or remove tags (they're added to or subtracted from the ones each account already has, they're never all replaced).
  • Connection (SMTP accounts only), SMTP/IMAP host and port. Before applying the changes, the connection is tested on each account with the new details.
  • Signature, the signature you choose replaces the current one on all the selected accounts.
  • Warm-up and inbox, here you have three options, No changes, Enable, or Disable.
  1. In step 2 you'll see a summary of what's about to change, the relevant warnings, and the list of affected accounts. Click Apply to N accounts to confirm.
  2. You'll see live progress while the changes are applied, and once it's done, the result is shown account by account, indicating which ones were updated and which ones failed, along with the reason.

What happens if an account doesn't meet the requirements

Each account is validated separately before any change is applied, so each one either gets all the changes or none of them.

If an account fails, this doesn't stop the process for the rest. The final result shows you the specific reason for each failure, for example "this account isn't compatible with warm-up."

Important details before using it

  • You can edit up to 100 accounts at a time. If you need to modify more, you'll have to do it in several batches.
  • Accounts being set up or in the process of being removed can't be selected. Those that are disconnected or have an error are automatically discarded when you enter the wizard, and you'll be notified with a message.
  • Warm-up requires a paid plan and compatible accounts (SMTP or purchased). Gmail or Outlook accounts connected via "Sign in with Google/Microsoft" aren't compatible, and will fail with that reason.
  • Enabling the inbox validates, per account, eligibility, your plan's inbox limit, and the live IMAP connection.
  • Host and port changes only apply to SMTP accounts. If you select accounts of another type, those will only fail on that specific point if you touched the connection settings.
  • The editing process is asynchronous. You can keep using the app while it runs, and follow the progress on the same screen.

Frequently asked questions

It says some accounts have failed, what should I do?
Open the result details, each failed account shows its reason. The most common ones are that the account isn't compatible with warm-up, the connection test failed with the new details, or your plan's inbox limit was reached. The rest of the accounts do get updated normally.

I click Next and nothing happens, why?
It could be that you haven't filled in any field, in which case you'll see a warning that you haven't enabled any changes, or that some field is marked in red due to incorrect data. The wizard will flag it directly on screen.

How do I make sure a specific field doesn't change?
Leave it blank, or set it to "No changes" if it's a selector. Only what you fill in gets applied.

I set a new signature and it deleted the one the accounts had, is that normal?
Yes, that's expected behavior. The signature you choose in the wizard replaces the one each selected account already had. You're also warned about this in the review step before applying the changes.

I can't select an account in the table, what's going on?
It's probably being set up or removed. You just need to wait for that process to finish before you can select it.

I added tags in bulk and one account doesn't have all of them, why?
Each account allows a maximum of 10 tags. If adding the new ones goes over that limit, that specific account fails, and the reason is shown in detail in the result.

The process stayed on "Applying changes" for a long time, is that normal?
With many accounts it can take a few minutes, since the connection is tested on each one. If it goes on for several minutes without progress, contact us with the approximate time so we can look into it.
