Email Account Warm-up and How It Works in Mailerfind
Warm-up is the process of preparing an email account so it can send cold emails without ending up in the spam folder. It works by gradually increasing the sending volume and simulating real interactions to build a good reputation with providers like Gmail or Outlook.
This step is crucial if you plan to launch cold email campaigns with Mailerfind. Without it, your emails might go straight to spam even if the content is good.
How warm-up works in Mailerfind
When you activate warm-up, the account connects to an internal network where emails are exchanged with other accounts. The system automatically sends, receives, opens, replies, and moves emails from spam to the inbox, simulating real human activity.
Everything is done automatically — you don’t need to write or send anything. Plus, the warm-up emails don’t affect your real campaigns or consume credits.
Recommended setup
- Add your SMTP email account.
- Configure SMTP (outgoing) and IMAP (incoming).
- Activate automatic warm-up from your dashboard.
- Keep the process active for at least 2 weeks if the domain already has history, or 4–6 weeks if it’s new. We recommend keeping it on permanently, even when sending campaigns.
Tracking and control
From your Mailerfind dashboard, you can check statistics: how many emails have been sent, delivered, moved from spam, etc. This shows you when the account is ready for real campaigns.
Best practices
✔ Recommended:
- Make sure warm-up volume is at least double what you plan to send daily.
- Keep warm-up running every day, even if you’re not sending campaigns.
- Use warm-up again if your account has been inactive for a while.
❌ Avoid:
- Starting with high volume from day one. Increase progressively.
- Constantly pausing warm-up. Consistency is key.
In summary
A proper warm-up is the foundation for successful cold email campaigns. It improves deliverability, boosts open rates, and reduces spam risk.
It only takes a few minutes to set up, but it saves you a lot of problems later.
